A special check-in on Foursquare for each time we see a homeless person on the street. This way it is easier to take action.

It's one of the most interesting and simple things I have seen here. Agora sim, Deborah ;-)

So, when you see a homeless person, you tag him on your iphone, instead of actually helping him someway?

Next step is to give him a tracking bracelet, so you can feed your homeless pet from anywhere, with virtual food collected from farmville.

It´s just a insight for helping goverment and ongs to take a real look at the situation, the map of poverty it´s just the start

Hi Morgan! You can help him AND tag him. The ideia of tagging is to help everyone to take a look at the big picture and take action.

Feel free to suggest ways so we can improve this idea. Thanks! =)

Ok. First, to use Foursquare, you must have a smartphone and a really small percentage of Brazilian population have one.

Second, homeless are nomads. A homeless location will never be precise enough to use as a statistic map.

Third. How would you prevent a hundred people from tagging the same homeless person, which would cause a serious statistic invalidation?

You´ll be never tagging homeless. You´ll only gather statistics about in which part of the city have the most smartphone users.

A guy is walking, then he sees a girl getting raped. Suddenly, he looks into her eyes, takes out his cell phone, tags her and go away...
